The road to financial independence lies in living below your means. Simply put: make more money than you spend. I know it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. However, based on the negative savings rate of the average American it is obviously easier said than done.
This website is not about extreme sacrifice and it isn’t about getting rich quick. It is about laying out a plan, that when followed can lead to a secure and comfortable financial life. It is about the simple and more advanced things anyone can do to increase earnings or make the money go farther.
This website is about ideas and discussion. It will include tips, lessons, discoveries, and warnings.
Articles and postings will fall under three main categories:
- Earn: How to increase earnings at your primary job or develop supplementary income streams.
- Save: How to save money on the things you want or need.
- Invest: Now that you are making more money than you spend, what do you do to secure the surplus and help it grow.
This site was created under the assumption that readers want to spend their lives living and not obsessing over money. Postings will be broken down into the simplest language possible. Ideas and suggestions will be based on actions that can be made into habits. Investment ideas won’t require an MBA to figure out.
